INTERESTED IN AMATEUR “HAM” RADIO, or ALREADY LICENSED?
Riderwood’s Amateur “HAM” Radio Club welcomes not only Riderwood residents who are already federally licensed ham radio operators, but also residents interested in becoming licensed. The Club’s fully equipped station, KC3IGL, is located on the terrace level of King’s Court and provides the federally required secure place to operate the Club’s HF and VHF radio equipment for use by licensed Club members. All operating modes are available: SSB/voice, CW, and digital modes. An aim of the Club is to collaborate with other local amateur radio clubs in support of emergency communications.
