From its beginning several years ago in a resident’s living room, the Democratic Book Group’s monthly meetings now fill the Lakeside Card . We read nonfiction books on topics such as politics, social justice/DEI, environment, and activism, including history, biographies and memoirs. Participants select the books and we ensure that they are available from local libraries in print and audio formats.
Meetings
Meetings are on the first Friday of each month from 1:00pm – 2:30pm in the Lakeside Commons Card Room. We email informative reminders of upcoming books and meetings. Everyone is welcome to come, whether you’ve read the book or not.
