What is the Encore Series
This series is PAC’s most diverse entertainment options, presented every month except November. The January through October events are at 7:30 PM on the third Friday of the month. The December event is at 3 PM on the first Sunday of the month.
Performances include:
- Music (bluegrass, gospel, jazz, contemporary, and chamber)
- Dance (ballet, modern, and ethnic, flamenco, tango)
- Theater (Broadway and monologue)
Performers are professionals in their respective fields and hail from all over the United States.
Information and Ticket Sales
Posters announcing each performance and the appropriate ticket availability appear two weeks in advance on the clubhouse bulletin boards and in all elevators. The Riderwood Reporter also has an article or “News Bite” with information about the performance and tickets.
Tickets, $10 each, are sold on Monday of the week of the performance in clubhouse lobbies from 4:30 – 6 PM, and on Tuesday in Town Center lobby from 4:30 – 6:00 PM. Cash and checks (payable to Performing Arts Council) only. Tickets are also sold at the door, if available.
Ticket Categories
Encore Theater seats approximately 292 people made up of walker, wheelchair, and general admission seating. Tickets are available in the categories shown in the table.

It is important that you have the appropriate ticket for your seating needs. If you use a walker or wheelchair and have a General Admissions ticket, and we have no spaces left, we will have to refund your money and deny you entry. We want to avoid this because we want everyone to have an opportunity to enjoy our performances. However, space is at a premium and we must set up our spaces appropriately.
Encore Theater Entrance Process
Walker and Wheelchair Tickets
Residents with wheelchair or walker tickets and their companions are encouraged to go down to the theater level whenever you arrive. You will be seated in the theater lobby. Thirty minutes before the performance, you will be admitted to the theater and to the designated seating areas. Companions will be seated near these patrons. Companions of those in the first row will sit in the row directly behind the walker patron as we have limited walker seats. We will hold the second row open for companions of those with walkers in the first row until 15 minutes before the performance when the second row will be opened to anyone with a ticket.
General Admission Tickets
After all present wheelchair and walker patrons are seated, our first floor ushers will allow general admission ticket holders to come down for seating.
